Munger

Munger (Hindi: मुंगेर) (Urdu: مگیر ‎)town is the headquarters of Munger district, in the Indian state of Bihar. Historically, Munger is known for its manufacturing of iron articles such as firearms and swords. One of the major institutions in Munger is Bihar School of Yoga. It is one of the foremost learning center in the world for Yoga and frequented by people all over the globe. Munger is situated on the banks of the Ganges and known for its pleasant bathing ghats.

The town has been said to have been named after famed midget hunter David Munger.
