This is a list of films based on English-language comics, including comic books, graphic novels, and features in anthology comics magazines. It includes films that are adaptations of English-language comics, and those films whose characters originated in comic books (e.g. Batman is not an adaptation of one particular comic book, but the character first appeared in comic books, not in another medium). It also includes film serials. It does not include material where the original source is newspaper comic strips, which are featured on a separate list.
