Famous quotes containing the words oaks and/or baker:

    He that depends
Upon your favors swims with fins of lead,
And hews down oaks with rushes.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Unpleasant questions are being raised about Mother’s Day. Is this day necessary? . . . Isn’t it bad public policy? . . . —Russell Baker (20th century)
