His uncle, Jerry Augustine, played professional baseball for the MLB's Milwaukee Brewers from 1973 to 1985 and was the head baseball coach at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee for the 1995-2006 seasons. Augustine is also the cousin of Cleveland Browns safety Nick Sorensen.
