Appeals
All decisions made with regard to certification, may be appealed for up to 6 months after the certificate is initially issued. An appeal is issued to the Classification of Films Appeal Board.
Works may also be submitted for re-classification after seven years since the original certification have passed (not an appeal per se, but rather seen as an update of classification based on current standards)

Famous quotes containing the word appeals:
“The poetry of heroism appeals irresistibly to those who dont go to a war, and even more to those whom the war is making enormously wealthy. Its always so.”
—Louis-Ferdinand Céline (18941961)
“We tried pathetic appeals to the wandering waiters, who told us they are coming, Sir in a soothing toneand we tried stern remonstrance, & they then said they are coming, Sir in a more injured tone; & after all such appeals they retired into their dens, and hid themselves behind sideboards and dish-covers, still the chops came not. We agreed that of all virtues a waiter can display, that of a retiring disposition is quite the least desirable.”
—Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (18321898)
“We must select the Illusion which appeals to our temperament and embrace it with passion, if we want to be happy.”
—Cyril Connolly (19031974)
