In 2007, Infosys had signed $250 million deal to acquire finance back-offices of Royal Philips spread in three countries. Later in 2009, Infosys acquired Atlanta-based McCamish Systems for about $38 million. In December 2011, Infosys BPO acquired Australia-based Portland Group for about $37 million. Portland Group provides strategic sourcing and category management services. In September 2012, it acquired US-based Marsh BPO for an undisclosed amount to expand its presence in the group life insurance space. Marsh BPO, based in Des Moines, Iowa has 87 employees and serves seven insurers and covers more than 600,000 insured lives. Marsh BPO will be absorbed in McCamish Systems.

Its organic growth performance has been rated as exemplary and best amongst its peers by a leading BPO research firm. With a merger and acquisitions team of its own it is looking at a target of doubling the annual revenue to $1 billion, with the help of inorganic growth.
