Guest Stars
From the first series, Hale and Pace had stars in their show. Initially, these were (then) little known performers such as Ainsley Harriot, Annette Badland and Harry Enfield. Once Hale and Pace became more well-known, more wider-known stars appeared in their shows, and the snooker player Steve Davis even played foil to the two cabbies in one episode.

Famous quotes containing the words guest and/or stars:
“If you are not proud of your cellar, there is no thrill of satisfaction in seeing your guest hold up his wine-glass to the light and look judicial.”
—George Eliot [Mary Ann (or Marian)
“The sumptuous age of stars and images is reduced to a few artificial tornado effects, pathetic fake buildings, and childish tricks which the crowd pretends to be taken in by to avoid feeling too disappointed. Ghost towns, ghost people. The whole place has the same air of obsolescence about it as Sunset or Hollywood Boulevard.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
