Research

As one of the two primary research universities in Florida, the Florida State University has long been associated with basic and advanced scientific research. Today the university engages in many areas of academic inquiry at the undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral levels.

The university brings in more than $200 million annually in external research funding and is one of the top 15 universities nationally receiving physical sciences funding from the National Science Foundation.
