Flamingo International Airport or Bonaire International Airport (IATA: BON, ICAO: TNCB) is an international airport located at Kralendijk, Bonaire, Netherlands. The Flamingo Airport serves as a connecting point for flights of KLM to some airports in South America. Thus airport once served as a hub for BonaireExel, BonaireExpress, CuraçaoExel, CuraçaoExpress, and it now serves the Dutch Antilles Express as its secondary hub, along with Insel Air, for its flights to and from Miami, Florida, and also EZAir serves Bonaire, as well as Curacao. as its main airline, although the airline itself is based at Curacao.
Flamingo Airport is the third largest airport in the former Netherlands Antilles, behind St.Maarten's Princess Juliana International Airport and Curacao's Hato International Airport and is the fourth largest between the Caribbean islands of the Dutch Kingdom behind the already mentioned St. Maarten, Curaçao and Aruba's Queen Beatrix International Airport. Arkefly, United, Delta and KLM are currently the largest airline operators that operate scheduled flights to Bonaire.
The Flamingo Airport is large enough to accommodate most international wide-body airliners such as the Boeing 747, the Boeing 777, and the Airbus A340, although the largest wide-body type to operate to Bonaire today is the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 (which are being replaced by A330's), flown by KLM. This airport is used by medium-sized airliners such as the Boeing 727, Boeing 737, and Airbus A310.
