    Elizabeth Stuart Phelps (1844–1911)

The force of a language does not consist of rejecting what is foreign but of swallowing it.
    Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832)

In a free society the state does not administer the affairs of men. It administers justice among men who conduct their own affairs.
    Walter Lippmann (1889–1974)
