A Faqīh (plural Fuqahā') (Arabic: فقيه, pl. فقهاء) is an expert in fiqh, or, Islamic jurisprudence.
A faqih is an expert in Islamic Law, and, as such, the word Faqih can literally be generally translated as Jurist.
