Eponine

Eponine

Éponine Thénardier ( /ˈɛpɵniːn tɨˈnɑrdi.eɪ/; ; c.1815-1832), also referred to as the "Jondrette girl", is a fictional character in the 1862 novel Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.

The character is introduced as a spoiled and pampered child, but comes back into the story as a ragged and prematurely aged teenager who speaks in the Parisian street-argot of the time, but who retains vestiges of her former charm and innocence.
