Land Development
In land development, the entitlement process is the legal method of obtaining the necessary approvals for the right to develop property for a desired use. This process is highly dependent on the desired use, if the desired use conforms with the current zoning for the property, the particular jurisdiction(s) the property is subject to and the size of the property.

Famous quotes containing the words land and/or development:
“Before the land rose out of the ocean, and became dry land, chaos reigned; and between high and low water mark, where she is partially disrobed and rising, a sort of chaos reigns still, which only anomalous creatures can inhabit.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“On fields all drenched with blood he made his record in war, abstained from lawless violence when left on the plantation, and received his freedom in peace with moderation. But he holds in this Republic the position of an alien race among a people impatient of a rival. And in the eyes of some it seems that no valor redeems him, no social advancement nor individual development wipes off the ban which clings to him.”
—Frances Ellen Watkins Harper (18251911)
