Supplement Quality and Concerns
Pet supplement sales reached $80 million dollars in 2010 and strong continued growth is expected. However, there is some concern about the quality of pet supplements. The FDA has not dedicated any significant resources to oversight of pet supplements. ConsumerLab.com is the only non-industry organization that has periodically tested pet supplements for labeling accuracy and product quality.
