History
The band played for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip when they visited Chicago for its International Trade Fair on July 6, 1959, and were part of the official reception along with the 2nd U.S. Marine Division Band.
The band has also played for President John F. Kennedy during one of his stops in Chicago during his 1960 presidential campaign.
Former rehearsal locations include the boathouse in Garfield Park in the early 1940s, the Billy Caldwell Legion Post in the 1950s, and the Elmurst Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2048 from the 1960s - 1990s.
