Beautiful Days - Synopsis

Synopsis

Similar to its contemporaries, Beautiful Days involves conflicts in family relationships, as well as a love triangle. Lee Min Chul (Lee Byung-Hun), has returned from studying in the USA, to take an active role in his father's prospering music business, Victory Records.

It turns out that his father was involved in unethical practice in the past, as well as murdering the father of Min Chul's stepbrother, Sun Jae. Into the scene comes two orphanage girls, YonSoo and Sena, whom share a sisterly bond. Sena becomes inspired to become a popstar after a visit during their childhood by the Victory Records boss on a charity event.

Years pass, and both girls arrive in Seoul to start their adult lives, however they get separated. Yon-soo finds a job working at Victory Records in hopes of one day meeting Sena again and becomes involved in the lives of the stepbrothers, Min-chul and Sun-jae. Yon-soo and Min-chul make a deal that they will help each others sisters. Yon-soo moves into their house to be a teacher to Min-ji and Min-chul will help Sen-a achieve her dream of becoming a singer. A complex drama unfolds, and Min-chul and Sun-jae both fall for Yon-soo. Yon-soo falls for Min-chul however their love is threatened by a terminal illness.
