Growth
The AJGA has experienced consistent growth throughout its history in many aspects. In 1983, with only a staff of five has grown to 58 full-time employees. The number of AJGA tournaments has also increased, moving from two in 1978 to its current total of 94 events per year. In addition, AJGA memberships have increased to more than 5,000 members annually. The AJGA also has 300 college coach memberships. These memberships give them access to vital recruiting information such as swing videos and players statistics. In 2000, the AJGA built its new national headquarters in Braselton, Georgia at the Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. The building was paid for by public donations.

Famous quotes containing the word growth:
“Hence, the less government we have, the better, the fewer laws, and the less confided power. The antidote to this abuse of formal Government, is, the influence of private character, the growth of the Individual; the appearance of the principal to supersede the proxy; the appearance of the wise man, of whom the existing government, is, it must be owned, but a shabby imitation.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The windy springs and the blazing summers, one after another, had enriched and mellowed that flat tableland; all the human effort that had gone into it was coming back in long, sweeping lines of fertility. The changes seemed beautiful and harmonious to me; it was like watching the growth of a great man or of a great idea. I recognized every tree and sandbank and rugged draw. I found that I remembered the conformation of the land as one remembers the modelling of human faces.”
—Willa Cather (18731947)
“Yes, I am a thorough republican. No other form of government is so favorable to the growth of art.”
—Oscar Wilde (18541900)
