Famous quotes containing the words golden and/or ring:
“A thousand golden sheaves were lying there,
Shining and still, but not for long to stay—
As if a thousand girls with golden hair
Might rise from where they slept and go away.”
—Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869–1935)
“Tell me where is fancy bred,
Or in the heart or in the head?
How begot, how nourished?
Reply, reply.
It is engendered in the eyes,
With gazing fed, and fancy dies
In the cradle where it lies.
Let us all ring fancy’s knell.
I’ll begin it. Ding, dong, bell.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
