2003 Tournament of The Americas

The 2003 Tournament of the Americas in basketball, now known as the FIBA Americas Championship (or as well Las Americas Tournament for Men, FIBA Americas Olympic Qualifying Tournament, or Panamerican Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Men) was hosted by Puerto Rico from August 20 to August 31, 2003. The games were played in San Juan at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum. This FIBA Americas Championship was to earn the three berths allocated to the Americas for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. The United States won the tournament, the country's fifth Americas championship.
