    Aunt,
    there’s no such thing
    as honest love
    in the world of men.

    who’d separate?
And if separation ever came to be,
    who could go on living?
    Hla Stavhana (c. 50 A.D.)

True maturity is only reached when a man realizes he has become a father figure to his girlfriends’ boyfriends—and he accepts it.
    Larry McMurtry (b. 1936)

    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
