Station Layout
Zushi Station has an island platform and a side platform serving three tracks. Platform 1 is used for trains which originate or terminate at Zushi. The platforms are connected by two overpasses.
In August 2007, on the Higashi-Zushi side, escalator and elevator facilities were completed and a new overpass was opened. The West exit was moved somewhat to the south, and the overpass on the Kamakura end was converted to a free over-track passageway.
There is a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket window, automatic ticket vending machines, reserved ticket vending machines, automatic ticket gates, and automatic fare adjustment machines. Also, in the station, outside the ticket gates, there is a Newdays convenience store and a police box.

Famous quotes containing the word station:
“How soon country people forget. When they fall in love with a city it is forever, and it is like forever. As though there never was a time when they didnt love it. The minute they arrive at the train station or get off the ferry and glimpse the wide streets and the wasteful lamps lighting them, they know they are born for it. There, in a city, they are not so much new as themselves: their stronger, riskier selves.”
—Toni Morrison (b. 1931)
