The Zope Content Management Framework (CMF) or Portal Toolkit (PTK) is a series of free software tools for Zope that forms a framework providing many of the key services a content management system would need. The CMF can be used as a standalone product, or it can be built on top of, for example in Plone's or Nuxeo CPS's cases. The CMF provides core tools like workflow, personalisation and cataloguing. The CMF development is led by Zope Corporation and is an open-source product with contributions from developers around the world.
Famous quotes containing the words content, management and/or framework:
“What is most original in a man’s nature is often that which is most desperate. Thus new systems are forced on the world by men who simply cannot bear the pain of living with what is. Creators care nothing for their systems except that they be unique. If Hitler had been born in Nazi Germany he wouldn’t have been content to enjoy the atmosphere.”
—Leonard Cohen (b. 1934)
“The management of fertility is one of the most important functions of adulthood.”
—Germaine Greer (b. 1939)
“Seeing our common-sense conceptual framework for mental phenomena as a theory brings a simple and unifying organization to most of the major topics in the philosophy of mind.”
—Paul M. Churchland (b. 1942)
