Zhongshan Park Station

Zhongshan Park Station

Zhongshan Park (simplified Chinese: 中山公园站; traditional Chinese: 中山公園站; pinyin: Zhōngshān Gōngyuán Zhàn) is the name of an interchange station between Lines 2, 3 and 4 on the Shanghai Metro, named after Shanghai's largest commercial park which is located nearby.

This station is also one of the few stations to have a store located inside the station: the Silver Fruit bakery, which is in the interchange passage between Line 2 and Line 3/Line 4.

Famous quotes containing the words park and/or station:

Is a park any better than a coal mine? What’s a mountain got that a slag pile hasn’t? What would you rather have in your garden—an almond tree or an oil well?
    Jean Giraudoux (1882–1944)

I introduced her to Elena, and in that life-quickening atmosphere of a big railway station where everything is something trembling on the brink of something else, thus to be clutched and cherished, the exchange of a few words was enough to enable two totally dissimilar women to start calling each other by their pet names the very next time they met.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)
