The Zacke Cox Covered Bridge is east of Mecca, Indiana. The single span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure was built by Joseph A. Britton in 1908. The bridge is 72 feet (22 m) long, 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, and 14 feet (4.3 m) high.
Famous quotes containing the words covered and/or bridge:
“When my face turned toward his,
I averted it
and looked at my feet.
When my ears clamored
to hear his talk,
I stopped them.
When my cheeks broke out
in sweat and goosebumps,
I covered them with my hands.
But Friends,
when the seams of my bodice
burst in a hundred places,
what could I do?”
—Amaru (c. seventh century A.D.)
“Poetry is not only dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before.”
—Audre Lorde (19341992)
