Youth Conference (Newfoundland)

Youth Conference (Newfoundland)

YC Newfoundland (sometimes referred to as Youth Conference) is an inter-denominational Christian event held annually in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador the weekend immediately before the second Monday in the month of October. YC Newfoundland is the first branch off the original YC. It's held almost on a rotational basis in the largest centers in the province.

YC Newfoundland was first held in front of 1500 attendees at The Glacier in Mount Pearl. It has grown to attendance figures of 3000 - 3500. It is organized by a committee from Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland & Labrador. The head of this group since the beginning of YC Newfoundland is Pastor Dean Brenton.

Famous quotes containing the words youth and/or conference:

And my youth comes back to me.
And a verse of a Lapland song
    Is haunting my memory still:
    “A boy’s will is the wind’s will,
And the thoughts of youth are long, long thoughts.”
    Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1809–1882)

For 350 years we have been taught that reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man and writing an exact man. Football’s place is to add a patina of character, a deference to the rules and a respect for authority.
