Young Foundation - Work Programme

Work Programme

The Young Foundation describes itself as a centre for social innovation. Its work covers a range of contemporary issues including health, ageing, education, communities and housing, justice, youth leadership, and wellbeing. It works across the UK and internationally - carrying out research, influencing policy, creating new organisations and supporting others to do the same, often with imaginative uses of new technology. Chief Executive, Simon Tucker, was formerly Director of Ventures and then Managing Director at The Young Foundation.

Famous quotes containing the words work and/or programme:

Hemingway is great in that alone of living writers he has saturated his work with the memory of physical pleasure, with sunshine and salt water, with food, wine and making love and the remorse which is the shadow of that sun.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)

The idealist’s programme of political or economic reform may be impracticable, absurd, demonstrably ridiculous; but it can never be successfully opposed merely by pointing out that this is the case. A negative opposition cannot be wholly effectual: there must be a competing idealism; something must be offered that is not only less objectionable but more desirable.
    Charles Horton Cooley (1864–1929)
