The Yellow Book is the standard that defines the format of CD-ROMs. The Yellow Book, created by Sony and Philips, was the first extension of the Red Book. It is named after one of a set of color-bound books that contain the technical specifications for all CD and CD-ROM formats.
Famous quotes containing the words yellow and/or book:

Whose sound wad melt a heart of stane.
Hes taen three locks o her yellow hair,
And wi them strung his harp sae rare.”

“I view askance a book that remains undisturbed for a year. Oughtnt it to have a ticket of leave? I think I may safely say no book in my library remains unopened a year at a time, except my own works and Tennysons.”
