Community
The civil parish also includes the hamlets of Yealand Storrs and Slack Head near Beetham. The village borders Yealand Conyers where most of the shared village facilities are located. There is a miniature railway track called Cinderbarrow and the large stately home, Leighton Hall is located in the area.
