To participate in any athletic activity in Yarmouth schools, students must obey the Honor Code.
Fall Sports: Football, Cross Country, Crew, Field Hockey, Golf, Soccer, Sailing, Volleyball
Winter Sports: Basketball, Dance, Nordic & Alpine Skiing, Swimming, Indoor Track, Ice Hockey
Spring Sports: Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Sailing, Outdoor Track, Crew
Falmouth-Yarmouth Rivalry: Yarmouth has a huge rivalry with Falmouth High School (Maine) which is down the road, both academically and athletically. The most notable sports at Yarmouth High School are lacrosse, soccer, and skiing. These teams have claimed a large number of state titles in the past few years. Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Ice Hockey and Football are on the rise of championships. This school has won many state championship games. More recently, the 2011 girl's volleyball as well. In the past 2011-2012 year, the Football team won their second state title as they went undefeated in the past two seasons, the Boy's Basketball Team won the State Title, the Boy's Ski Team won states, and the Girl's Ski Team won their sixth state title in the past six years. Yarmouth High School is believed to win more state titles this spring. Yarmouth also has an amazing theater productions. Last year, they won states in their One Act Performance, and this year they won their Regional Competition and will advance to states as well. Yarmouth's lacrosse team has become less and less of a force each year with losses to both Cape and Falmouth this year.
