Campuses
Yali has three campuses:
- a day school located near the city-center (on Laodong Road between Furong Ave and Shaoshan Ave),
- a boarding school campus located in the southern Changsha named Nanya Middle School (on Xiangzhang Road),
- a boarding school located in northern Changsha.
As the city's school board continues with the reforms of the school system under the instruction from the Hunan Provincial Education Bureau, the southern boarding school section is likely to become an independent private school, tentatively named "South Yali School (南雅中学 nán-yǎ zhōng-xué)", as it is located south of the main day school campus.
In September 2009, the northern boarding school, Bei Ya (北雅 běi-yǎ) or North Yali, opened. There are 600 students at the school, with this number expected to double in 2010.
In 2010, due to the construction of the new teaching building on the main day school campus, a temporary campus("west campus") was established nearby to house the Senior two and senior three students.
