Creation
During the final issues of X-Treme X-Men, Storm campaigned to have a team that would be backed by the United Nations, that would carry police badges, and have legal authority. She was successful and, in Uncanny X-Men #445, the team made its debut, following the return of writer Chris Claremont. Canadian artist Chris Bachalo illustrated several of the team's adventures.
