X-Men was critically acclaimed on the Sega Genesis. It was praised for its original soundtrack, graphics, and respectable controls. However, some criticized the game for it lack of playable characters. X-Men game has been most remembered for its extreme difficulty, even for experienced players. Player must know the secret ways to defeat the bosses because normal attacks and special attacks won't damage most of the bosses.
