Wrestle War
WrestleWar was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event promoted by World Championship Wrestling. It was held in the month of May in 1989 and 1992 and the month of February in 1990 and 1991. The first two events were promoted under the National Wrestling Alliance banner.
Famous quotes containing the words wrestle and/or war:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
—Bible: New Testament St. Paul, in Ephesians, 6:12.
St. Pauls words were used by William Blake as an epigraph to The Four Zoas (c. 1800)
“Unless they are immediate victims, the majority of mankind behaves as if war was an act of God which could not be prevented; or they behave as if war elsewhere was none of their business. It would be a bitter cosmic joke if we destroy ourselves due to atrophy of the imagination.”
—Martha Gellhorn (b. 1908)
