Worlds of Power

The Worlds of Power books are a series of novelizations of video games for the Nintendo Entertainment System released in the early 1990s. The series was created by Seth Godin and is characterized by the fact that they are mostly "male-oriented titles," that take creative liberties with their source material. They usually include game hints written upside down at the end of chapters (some also had a tear-out "trading card" in the middle with a tip in mirror writing on the back) and are written in a simplistic, easy-to-read style.

Famous quotes containing the words worlds of, worlds and/or power:

    Ah! as the heart grows older
    It will come to such sights colder
    By and by, not spare a sigh
    Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
    And yet you will weep and know why.
    Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844–1889)

    The soul’s dark cottage, battered and decayed,
    Lets in new light through chinks that Time has made:
    Stronger by weakness, wiser men become
    As they draw near to their eternal home.
    Leaving the old, both worlds at once they view
    That stand upon the threshold of the new.
    Edmund Waller (1606–1687)

    Fear death?—to feel the fog in my throat,
    The mist in my face,
    When the snows begin, and the blasts denote
    I am nearing the place,
    The power of the night, the press of the storm,
    The post of the foe;
    Where he stands, the Arch Fear in a visible form,
    Yet the strong man must go:
    Robert Browning (1812–1889)
