World Revolution is a left communist organisation in Britain. It is a section of the International Communist Current (ICC).
The group was founded in the mid-1970s by former supporters of Solidarity. In 1975, they merged with the ICC, adopting the "World Revolution" name. The following year, a minority faction of the Communist Workers Organisation joined the group. In 1981, a group of members, mostly based in Scotland, split to form the Communist Bulletin Group.
Famous quotes containing the words world and/or revolution:
“O I know they make war because they want peace; they hate so that they may live; and they destroy the present to make the world safe for the future. When have they not done and said they did it for that?”
—Elizabeth Smart (19131986)
“The Husband of To-Day ever considers his wife but as a portion of his my-ship.
Nominative I.
Possessive My, or Mine.
Objective Me.
This is the grammar known to the Husband of To-Day.”
