World Logging Championship - Records

Records

The only two-time champion in the World Logging Championship occurred in 2000 when the 1999 champion, Jonothan Weeks from the United States repeated his championship with a last competition comeback on the aqua-logging event. Weeks outlasted his opponent and overcame a late-competition deficit.

While only 18 at the time of his first championship, Weeks claimed not only the youngest champion ever, but with winning the next year, he has been the only aqua-logger to win back to back championships. Unfortunately for the masses, Weeks suffered a devastating injury in 2001 and has not been heard from since. He is believed to be somewhere in Japan, helping young aqua-loggers learn the fine art.

Famous quotes containing the word records:

In America, the photographer is not simply the person who records the past, but the one who invents it.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

It’s always the generals with the bloodiest records who are the first to shout what a hell it is. And it’s always the war widows who lead the Memorial Day parades.
    Paddy Chayefsky (1923–1981)

Philosophy, astronomy, and politics were marked at zero, I remember. Botany variable, geology profound as regards the mud stains from any region within fifty miles of town, chemistry eccentric, anatomy unsystematic, sensational literature and crime records unique, violin player, boxer, swordsman, lawyer, and self-poisoner by cocaine and tobacco.
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)
