Future Expansion
A feasibility study is investigating the expansion of Woombye station to include a new and improved station with two platforms on a higher speed, dual track alignment. The proposed site of the new station runs through the Woombye soccer club across the Back Woombye Road from the existing station. There is also a proposed vehicle and pedestrian bridge over the new rail alignment linking Back Woombye Road and Keil Street. This upgrade is expected to be built post 2020.

Famous quotes containing the words future and/or expansion:
“Higher than the question of our duration is the question of our deserving. Immortality will come to such as are fit for it, and he would be a great soul in future must be a great soul now.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
“Every expansion of government in business means that government in order to protect itself from the political consequences of its errors and wrongs is driven irresistibly without peace to greater and greater control of the nation’s press and platform. Free speech does not live many hours after free industry and free commerce die.”
—Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)
