In June 2013, it was reported that Warner Bros. will produce a live-action/animated film similar to Fox and Bagasarian's Alvin & the Chipmunks. George and Bill Miller, director of Happy Feet, will direct the film and it will star Julia Roberts will portray Winsome Witch.
