Wing Commander: False Colors
False Colors is a science fiction novel set in the universe of Origin Systems' computer game Wing Commander. Published in 1998, the book was written by Andrew Keith and William R. Forstchen, though William H. Keith (Andrew's brother) was incorrectly credited on the front cover.
False Colors is set in the years between Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger and Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom, and revolves around a handful of well known Confederation personnel who join the ranks of the Free Republic of the Landreich in an attempt to prevent an ambitious Kilrathi warlord from starting a second Terran-Kilrathi war.
This novel was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy, but Andrew Keith died in an accident before he had time to begin work on the other books.

Famous quotes containing the words wing, false and/or colors:
“No Ravens wing can stretch the flight so far
As the torn bandrols of Napoleons war.
Choose then your climate, fix your best abode,
Hell make you deserts and hell bring you blood.
How could you fear a dearth? have not mankind,
Tho slain by millions, millions left behind?
Has not conscription still the power to weild
Her annual faulchion oer the human field?
A faithful harvester!”
—Joel Barlow (17541812)
“The will is one of the chief factors in belief, not that it creates belief, but because things are true or false according to the aspect in which we look at them. The will, which prefers one aspect to another, turns away the mind from considering the qualities of all that it does not like to see; and thus the mind, moving in accord with the will, stops to consider the aspect which it likes and so judges by what it sees.”
—Blaise Pascal (16231662)
“He hath ribbons of all the colors ithe rainbow.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
