Advertisements in Installer
WinSCP sponsored installer includes OpenCandy advertising module. The module uses the user's geo-location, operating system and language to choose "relevant advertisements". Revenue from the advertisements is shared between OpenCandy and WinSCP developers and is thus used to support WinSCP development.
The advertising module can be disabled by user, when starting the installer. An ad-free version of the installer is also available. WinSCP itself does not contain any advertisements.
