Williamson County Regional Airport

Williamson County Regional Airport (IATA: MWA, ICAO: KMWA, FAA LID: MWA) is a public use airport located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) west of the central business district of Marion, in Williamson County, Illinois, United States. The airport is owned by the Williamson County Airport Authority. It is mostly used for general aviation, but is served by one commercial airline, subsidized by the Essential Air Service program.

As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 3,631 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 3,399 enplanements in 2009, and 8,047 in 2010. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a non-primary commercial service airport (between 2,500 and 10,000 enplanements per year).
