William Hustler

William Hustler (1655–1730) was an English draper of the Hustler family. He built Acklam Hall in Cleveland in the early 1680s; it is now one campus of a further education institution, Middlesbrough College.

Famous quotes containing the words william and/or hustler:

O harmless Death! whom still the valiant brave,
The wise expect, the sorrowful invite,
And all the good embrace, who know the grave
A short dark passage to eternal light.
    —Sir William Davenant (1606–1668)

The more characteristic American hero in the earlier day, and the more beloved type at all times, was not the hustler but the whittler.
    Mark Sullivan (1874–1952)
