United Learning Trust
The ULT are the sponsors of the new Academy. However, the changes they have implemented have caused great controversy. For example, the ULT logo and motto must now be on all school publications. The Headmaster is also officially now called the Principal. Additional changes include tighter controls on activities. However, the school managed to keep its name, claiming it had a good reputation attributed to it.
