Will Starr - Adult Years

Adult Years

Although Will Starr travelled the world as an international performer, he would always return to Croy during his breaks from performing.

After losing a battle with cancer of the spine, Will Starr died in his home town of Croy on 6 March 1976 and was buried in the Starrs family grave in Howe Road Cemetery, Kilsyth, Stirlingshire.

Famous quotes containing the words adult and/or years:

The infant runs toward it with its eyes closed, the adult is stationary, the old man approaches it with his back turned.
    Denis Diderot (1713–1784)

Flood-tide below me! I see you face to face!
Clouds of the west—sun there half an hour
high—I see you also face to face.
Crowds of men and women attired in the usual costumes, how curious you are to me!
On the ferry-boats the hundreds and hundreds that cross, returning
home, are more curious to me than you suppose,
And you that shall cross from shore to shore years hence are more to me, and more in my meditations, than you might suppose.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)
