Controversy
In January of 2008, following a sold out show at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Franken passed a bag to collect tips, inadvertently drawing attention to the fact that the UCB did not pay their performers. This led to a row between the UCB management and Franken and Franken has never been allowed back to either the UCB in New York or Los Angeles.
