Personal Life
Johnson lives in Southend. He married his childhood sweetheart Irene Knight when they were teenagers, and the couple had a son, Simon. Johnson was widowed in 2004 when Irene died from cancer. He is interested in astronomy, painting and poetry. Johnson is teetotal.
