After 1918
The Galloway constituency was created for the 1918 general election, and abolished for the 1983 general election, when it was partly replaced by the new Galloway and Upper Nithsdale constituency.
The Galloway and Upper Nithsdale constituency was abolished for the 2005 general election.
The Dumfries and Galloway replaced the Galloway and Upper Nithsdale
