Programming
WHTX has longtime local Youngstown radio personalities Gary Rhamy in morning drive and radio legend Charlie Tuna in afternoons. The station's music is currently locally produced with a soft AC slant, after Dial Global Local's The Lounge format was cut by the company.
Weekend and specialty programming includes The Sounds of Sinatra with Sid Mark, Rock, Roll and Remember with Dick Clark, American Standards By The Sea with Dick Robinson, Weekend Radio with Robert Conrad, and Elvis Only with Jay Gordon.
Hourly newscasts are also provided by CBS Radio News and supported locally by a news-sharing agreement with the Warren Tribune Chronicle. Weather updates are provided by Accuweather.
The station features heavy local high school sports action with Warren JFK and Warren Harding High Schools, and is the flagship station of the local minor league baseball team the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the New York Penn League, and MLB's The Pittsburgh Pirates!

Famous quotes containing the word programming:
“If there is a price to pay for the privilege of spending the early years of child rearing in the drivers seat, it is our reluctance, our inability, to tolerate being demoted to the backseat. Spurred by our success in programming our children during the preschool years, we may find it difficult to forgo in later states the level of control that once afforded us so much satisfaction.”
—Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)
