The Future
The area north of Whiteley is included in the South East Plan as a possible urban extension and if the community were to be expanded northwards it would include further residential developments of up to 3,000 houses and associated infrastructure including transport, educational and community facilities.
A replacement shopping centre is also currently being built, and is due to be Completed by Summer 2013.
