Television
The dream of offering Television services has been one Whidbey Telecom has had for many years. It was announced in 2011, that Whidbey Telecom would offer television to customers at competitive rates to those offered by Comcast. The service will utilize Microsoft Mediaroom IPTV technology to deliver television over the DSL service. Originally set to launch in 2012, technology issues caused the launch to be pushed back to mid-2013. It is unknown if there will be any special bundles made available to customers.

Famous quotes containing the word television:
“They [parents] can help the children work out schedules for homework, play, and television that minimize the conflicts involved in what to do first. They can offer moral support and encouragement to persist, to try again, to struggle for understanding and mastery. And they can share a childs pleasure in mastery and accomplishment. But they must not do the job for the children.”
—Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
“Addison DeWitt: Your next move, it seems to me, should be toward television.
Miss Caswell: Tell me this. Do they have auditions for television?
Addison DeWitt: Thats all television is, my dear. Nothing but auditions.”
—Joseph L. Mankiewicz (19091993)
“We cannot spare our children the influence of harmful values by turning off the television any more than we can keep them home forever or revamp the world before they get there. Merely keeping them in the dark is no protection and, in fact, can make them vulnerable and immature.”
—Polly Berrien Berends (20th century)
